Jeep Wrangler Rock Rails. Not for use with running boards. I have never done that before, so was this a good decision?

I am new to the forum and have a 06 wrangler unlimited i purchased some factory rubicon rock rail/sliders off of craigslist but need to know how they are attached to the body ie. 👋 i have bought the first mod for the jeep and decided to do that from facebook marketplace! Your jeep's rocker panel is also one of the parts most vulnerable to damage. Not for use with running boards.
